On September 11, 18, and 25, I will be teaching a beginner’s yoga class at the WELLNESS WORKS! Workshop Series sponsored by Smith Farm Center for Healing and the Arts, Allen Chapel AME Church, and Union Temple Baptist Church. The workshops will be held at Allen Chapel AME Church, 249 Alabama Avenue, SE, Washington. The FREE workshop series will be held from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. The workshops are geared to African American residents of the District of Columbia. The purpose of the series is to inspire African Americans to lead healthier lives through stress reduction, exercise and nutrition.
